This policy explains how the “Aklet El Yom” app (operated by elMokhtbr) collects, uses, and protects your data. By using the app you agree to the practices described below.

Information We Collect

• Account information: when you sign in with Google we receive your name, email, and profile photo to create and identify your account.
• Content you create: recipes, meals, photos, and notes you add are stored so we can show them to you and share them when you choose.
• Photos: when you upload a meal photo we access only the image you pick from your gallery or camera, never your other photos.
• Basic technical data: app identifiers needed to run the service and protect it from abuse (via Firebase App Check).

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the app and save and sync your recipes and plans across your devices.
• To display content you share publicly to other users after moderation.
• To send on-device local notifications such as the cooking timer — these are generated on your device and require no extra data collection.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and moderate violating content.

Sharing of Information

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We use trusted service providers only to run the app:

• Google Firebase — for authentication, data and image storage, and backend services.
• App stores (App Store and Google Play) when you download or update the app.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and those of our users.

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and its associated content by emailing us at the address below; we will process the request within a reasonable time.

Data Security

We use standard security measures through Google Firebase to protect your data. However, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed 100% secure.

Children’s Privacy

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

Your Rights
